Introduction
Please read the following terms & conditions of the Autotrim Direct online service agreement carefully. By accessing the information on the Autotrim Direct website you confirm that you understand, accept and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this agreement. If you do not wish to accept these terms and conditions do not access the Autotrim Direct site. All references to Autotrim Direct in this agreement shall include the www.autotrimdirect.co.uk website.
Contract Formation
Any order you make through the Autotrim Direct website is subject to acceptance and availability, we reserve the right to refuse your order at our discretion and for any reason without explanation.
Samples Policy
Colours and styles may occasionally vary slightly from the pictures on the website. Please send a stamped self addressed envelope with a large letter rate stamp attached, for a sample before placing an order to ensure the colour or suitablility is correct. Cut lengths are subject to a 20% handling fee if returned. Any re-order will be subject to new delivery charges. Cut lengths supplied to customer’s specific order will be non-refundable if they have been de-faced, adapted or cut into in any way.
Product prices are correct at the time the information is entered, however we reserve the right to change any prices without prior notice.
The contract to purchase a product or products is made when Autotrim Direct has received your submitted shopping basket form and has confirmed, via email, acceptance of your order.
Making a Purchase
All orders are to be paid in UK Pounds and payment is taken from your account once your order has been received by Autotrim Direct.
You can order via the Internet or by calling our office on +44 (0)121 453 7518, Monday to Friday 9.30am and 4.30pm.You can also order by post, paying by cheque or postal order payable to AUTOTRIM DIRECT or cash in person. Our address can be found on the Home page. *Personal callers by prior appointment only* Not all stock is held at premises but can be collected by prior appointment.
We recommend you send any cheques/postal orders by recorded delivery as Autotrim Direct cannot be held responsible for any loss.
Making a purchase off the Autotrim Direct website could not be easier. Just browse our online store, click on any items you wish to buy, then scroll down the page and add your required size and quantity then click the button marked ‘Add To Basket’.
If you want to continue shopping you can do so by adding additional items into your basket. If you enter an item into your basket and no longer require it just amend the quantity of that particular item to zero(0) and click the update button to refresh your shopping basket. Once you have completed you shopping click the ‘Checkout’ option. You will then be asked for a few address details that we need to be able to fulfil your order. We can deliver to an alternative contact/address but this MUST be specified at the time of order otherwise you will be subject to a re-delivery fee.
Finally you will be asked your preferred payment method, either with your PayPal account, cheque or UK postal orders.
Credit and debit cards are not accepted online at present, however payment can be taken over the telephone. It is possible to pay by credit/debit card via paypal without holding a paypal account.
Once your payment has been accepted you will be sent an order confirmation via email with your unique order number for your own records. Note if you choose to pay by Cheque/Postal Orders or cash then remember to send a copy of your order form and email confirmation with the payment. Please allow at least 7 days for your payment to be cleared if paying by personal cheque.

Delivery
It is our aim to dispatch your order within 2-3 days. If we need to order any item/s in for you then delivery would be approximately 10-14 days. In some instances delivery could take up to 28 days but you will be notified about this. In the unlikely event of supply difficulties, you will have the option to change your order or cancel the order. If you wish to cancel an order then a full refund will then be processed within 7 days.
Custom made products to specific requirements could take up to 28 days.
Autotrim Direct will not be held responsible for any cost or liability incurred by you as a result of a specific item not being available at a specific time.
All UK mainland orders over 1KG in weight are sent by courier and are normally delivered within 2-3 working days, a signature will be required on delivery.
If you are unable to sign for the item the courier will leave a card for you to call to arrange another delivery day or collect from their local depot. If you are not able to sign for the parcel on the second attempt it will be returned to our warehouse and you will be subject to a re-delivery fee.
All UK mainland orders under 1KG in weight are sent by Royal Mail Recorded delivery and again will require a signature. If you are unable to sign for the parcel a card will be left for you to collect from the local sorting office. If this parcel is not collected within 7 days it will be returned to our warehouse and you will be subject to a re-delivery fee.
We cannot accept orders to PO Box no’s.
Postage & Packaging Costs (UK Only)
All orders under 1KG are charged at £3.95 delivery. Orders with multiple items over 1KG will be charged a maximum of £9.95 for shipping. Large, heavy and bulky items up to 15KG are sent via courier at a charge of £9.95.
Postage & Packaging Costs (Remote Areas)
The Scottish Highlands, remote areas, Channel Islands and off shore addresses will be subject to a delivery surcharge as required by our courier. We will notify the customer of any surcharges upon confirmation of an order and the excess delivery charge will be added to your invoice.
Postage & Packaging Costs (Overseas)
Customers ordering from Overseas, please contact us by e-mail prior to placing an order, so that we can calculate the carriage costs, as these fluctuate from country to country.
Customs & Import Duties
If you order from outside the UK, you may be subject to import duties and taxes, levied once the package reaches your country. Any additional charges must be borne by you, Autotrim Direct has no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.
Customs policies vary widely from country to country, you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the products. We will not be held responsible nor will we issue credit for items seized by the customs service of any country.
Returns Policy
A full refund will be processed when non-faulty or otherwise satisfactory goods are returned within seven days of delivery but please note the original delivery charge is NOT REFUNDED.
Non-faulty or otherwise satisfactory goods returned for refund more than seven days after delivery will be subject to an administration fee of 20% of the total purchase price.
Any items made to order ie. Custom made seat covers, trim parts, non-standard stock items are non-refundable.
Cut lengths supplied to customer’s specific order will be subject to a 20% handling fee if returned in original condition supplied. See contract formation.
Non-faulty or otherwise satisfactory goods returned more than seven days after delivery should be returned with their original packaging. In these circumstances, additional postage costs will be charged for replacement goods. You must also take reasonable care of the goods whilst they are in your possession.
PLEASE NOTE that returning goods under the cooling-off period allowed by the Distance Selling Regulations is at your cost unless we have supplied alternative goods that you have not found acceptable. You should take care to ensure the goods are returned to us in a reasonable condition.
Autotrim Direct will not accept responsibility for loss of any product being returned by the customer, therefore we recommend you use Royal Mail recorded delivery/courier as you are then guaranteed a signature. If you do not choose to use these methods then it is imperative that you obtain a free certificate of postage which should be kept in a safe place as this will be required if any return parcels go astray.

PLEASE NOTE for returns outside the UK mainland the package must be clearly marked with the following statement “RETURNED GOODS RELIEF CLAIMED”. If the package does not clearly state this then Autotrim Direct may not be able to accept delivery of the return package and therefore unable to issue a refund.
Please include the following with any returns: name, daytime telephone number, invoice number and a copy of your e-mail notifying us of your reason for return.
